EMDR Therapy: Release Past Pain, Create a Positive Future
in Boulder, Colorado, with
Edie Stone, MA, LPC
I have been working with EMDR as a treatment for physical and emotional
trauma, painful memories, grief, unhealthy patterns, phobias, fears,
and performance anxiety
since 2005. I am constantly amazed and grateful for the healing that
this technique has brought to my clients. In session after session, I
have seen pain, anger, fear, anxiety, and inner conflicts expressed,
released, and transformed into relaxation, peace of mind, and
self-acceptance.
I invite you to explore this path of healing and personal growth. Call
me at 303-415-3755 or email me

What is EMDR?
EMDR is an efficient,
effective treatment if
you want to move beyond painful memories, fears, trauma unhealthy
patterns, or performance anxiety.
EMDR is also an efficient, effective tool if you want
to transform your future, establish healthy habits, or enhance your
performance in sports, job interviews, public speaking, test-taking, or
any stressful activity. (I will use italics to indicate this
forward-looking, performance-enhancing use of EMDR.)
As an example, EMDR can be used to prepare for successful surgery or
other medical procedures. By releasing fears or trauma from past
medical experiences, you will experience less stress and more control
in the present. By reducing current fears and improving relaxation, you
will experience less tension and therefore less pain. By creating a positive template for healing,
you are more likely to experience an improved outcome.
The short version:
You will share your goals and any relevant history ... I will help you
strengthen your inner resources ... you will use simple tones,
vibrations, or tapping that alternate from right to left, while you
mentally process images and emotions ... and then you will feel much
better!
